The educational establishment "Military Academy of the Republic of Belarus" was created in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus No. 192 of May 17, 1995 on the basis of two colleges - Military Engineer
Air Defense College and Military Command All-Arms College.

At present, the Military Academy of the Republic of Belarus is one of the largest universities in the country and is the leading military university that trains military personnel in the interests of the Republic of Belarus, as well as for the countries of near and far abroad.

Training of foreign specialists is carried out at all faculties, specialties and specializations.

The structure of the Military Academy of the Republic of Belarus includes 10 faculties:

- General Staff Faculty;

- Combined Arms Faculty;

- Communication and ACS faculty;

- Air Defense Faculty;

- Military Intelligence Faculty;

- Aviation Faculty;

- Missile troops and artillery Faculty;

- Foreign Servicemen Training Faculty;

- Internal Troops Faculty;

- Advanced staff training and retraining Faculty.

The total number of the teaching staff of the Academy is 609 people, including 11 doctors of sciences, 10 professors, 179 candidates of sciences.

At the General Staff Faculty officers of the operational-strategic and operational-tactical levels of the II stage of education are trained in full-time education for a period of 2 years.

The faculty of advanced staff training and retraining of personnel provides training for officers of the operational-strategic level of management (higher academic courses), operational (academic courses) and tactical (officer courses) levels.

The training of personnel of the highest scientific qualifications at the Academy is provided by the magistracy (in 11 specialties), postgraduate studies (12 specialties), doctoral studies (7 specialties).

The Academy has a modern educational and material base, including 15 educational buildings in 5 campuses, 31 lecture halls, 385 specialized classrooms and laboratories equipped with modern simulators, 4 libraries, the training ground "Belaya Luzha". The sports infrastructure is represented by 3 specialized sports towns and 2 gyms.

A special place in the structure of the Military Academy of the Republic of Belarus is occupied by the Foreign Servicemen Training Faculty. Since 1995, more than 1800 foreign military personnel from 27 countries of the world have been trained at the faculty. For cadets and listeners, the study of the Russian language is organized at the Department of the Russian Language and Culture of Speech for a period from 2 weeks to a year. Training of foreign servicemen is carried out at the I and II stages of education in the specialties of the Military Academy, both in joint and in separate groups.

The Foreign Servicemen Training Faculty is rightfully considered the hallmark of the academy, occupies a special place in the organization of international cooperation, and is an example of the high achievements of the Republic of Belarus in the field of military education.
