The State Forestry Institution «Zhitkovichi Forestry» is one of the leading forestry enterprises in the Gomel region. The industrial activity of the forestry enterprise is represented by logging, transportation and processing of timber, procurement of secondary use products, secondary forest resources. Zhitkovichi Forestry in 2020 put into operation a shop for the production of wood fuel pellets. For four months of mastering a new production, 4727 tons of pellets were produced here, which were sold for export.
